Modern perinatal center opens in Kyzylorda

KYZYLORDA. KAZINFORM - On the eve of the Day of the capital a new modern perinatal center opened its doors in Kyzylorda.

The facility will accommodate up to 200 beds. 

"We attach particular importance to the reduction of maternal and child mortality. Lives and health of both mother and child is the hospital's top priority", said regional Akim Krymbek Kusherbayev at the opening ceremony. 

Over the past two years maternal mortality decreased by 30 percent, infant - by 27 percent. 30 medical facilities have been commissioned in the region within last three years. 

Perinatal center is located in the four-storey building and is equipped with modern medical equipment. There 22 perinatal centers in Kazakhstan.
