ASTANA. KAZINFORM - At the 67th session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva on May 19-20, the Government of Kazakhstan and the World Health Organization (WHO) have signed an agreement on the opening of the WHO office on primary health care in Almaty, the Kazakh Ministry of healthcare reports.
The agreement was inked by Healthcare Minister of Kazakhstan Salidat Kairbekova and WHO Regional Director for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab.
The agreement will enable to open the first large WHO office in the territory of Central Asia. With the help of the office Kazakhstan will expand bilateral projects in the sphere of healthcare, conduct research and trainings for medical workers, and develop national medical sector in general.
