ASTANA. KAZINFORM - UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) will open in Almaty a division for Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS, this has been announced today at a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Medical Workers.
"Today the UN Children's Fund has confirmed interest in expanding its regional presence by opening in Almaty UNICEF Division for Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS countries. We intend to continue active cooperation with UNICEF in improving health care", said Minister of Health Salidat Kairbekova.
Recall that the agreement on opening the WHO office in Almaty was signed on May 21 in Geneva (Switzerland) by the leadership of the world organization and the Minister of Health S.Kairbekova.
