Almaty rgn purchased more than 200 thousand doses of flu vaccine

Since the beginning of epidemiological season (October 2, 2014) Almaty region has registered 4534 cases of acute respiratory viral infection.
The regional budget has allocated KZT 162 million, KZT 105 million of which came from the regional health bureau, and KZT 57 million - from the regional medical organizations for purchasing 222 849 doses of vaccine against influenza.
At present 141,179 doses of influenza vaccine have been purchased. 80,713 people were vaccinated.
Vaccination for the most vulnerable groups including children with chronic pulmonary, cardiovascular diseases, immune deficiency, weak and sickly children, children in orphanages, boarding schools, elderly people from nursing homes, elderly persons aged over 65 years with chronic illnesses, health care workers, pregnant women at 2- m and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy will be held at the expense of the national budget.
