The Sole distributor purchased original (brand) anti-retroviral medical agent Didanozin (Videx) to the sum total 24.5 million tenge. The “SK-Pharmaceuticals” company purchased more than 111 000 tablets, having completed thereby purchasing of all medicaments for HIV (AIDS) treatment.
Purchasing of Didanozin was not implemented before, because the “Bristol Myers Squibb” company (manufacturer of original preparation) has ceased production and supply of medical agents for some countries of CIS, including the Republic of Kazakhstan since last year. Moreover, there is no registered generic of this preparation in Kazakhstan.
There were long and delicate negotiations between Sole distributor and “Bristol Myers Squibb” company last year, and as a result the exclusion was made for Kazakh patients. First supply of preparation will enter the storehouse of the Sole distributor during June of the current year, and in July the shipments into regions will be started.
At present shipments of other anti-retroviral medicaments comprise 99% from the plan.
In consideration of high social importance of this group of the drugs, the “SK-Pharmaceuticals” implements monitoring of situation on anti-retroviral medicine on regular basis.
The “SK-Pharmaceuticals” LLP deals with purchase and supply of patient care institutions with medicaments and medical facilities for inpatient treatment within the bounds of Uniform national system of public health. One exception - is blood-coagulation factors for hemophiliacs and insulin for diabetics. And only for patients-adults. Medicaments purchasing and supply for favourable provision and ambulatory treatment are executed by local bodies of pubic health.
“SK-Pharmaceuticals” LLP is founded in February 2009 for the purpose of increase of stability and competitiveness of pharmaceutical industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan by means of consolidation of public purchase of medicaments. “Samruk-Kazyna” National welfare fund” JSK is a part of this structure.
