ASTANA. - Kazakhstani tourists have been warned over polio danger in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, the press service of the committee of the tourism industry under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan reports.
According to the World Health Organization, the results of the study of the epidemiology of polio in Afghanistan, Iraq, Cameroon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Syria, Somalia, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia showed the emergency situation in public health, Kazinform refers to AKI Press.
As of April 2014, at least three cases of international transmission of wild poliovirus were registered in the world. The WHO recommended the governments of the abovementioned 10 countries to officially declare emergency situation for the national health care.
