Decrease in infant mortality registered in Kazakhstan

"1050 infant deaths have been registered in the republic in January-March 2014, that is 8.7% less compared to the analogous period of 2013," chairman of the agency Alikhan Smailov announced at the Friday press briefing. 

The agency stressed that infant mortalities in Kazakhstan mostly stem from the prenatal period.
